Distribution of Aged People Fund
Since 1949, hongbaos has been annually distributed to the elderly poor and the handicapped of every races and religions. The amount of Aged People fund distributed throughout these many decades exceeded ten millions of dollars and the number of beneficiaries number two hundred thousands people.
Reaching out to the Less Fortunate
Families receiving Public Assistance funds from the community collect monthly food provisions, such as cooking oil, rice and sugar from the Lodge to maintain basic subsistence. Medical subsidies are provided for the economically deprived, as well as coffins donated to the poor.
Family Service Centre
The establishment of the SBL Vision Family Service Centre in 1998 tends to specific needs of the individuals, families and society, and provides consultation, care and support whenever needed.
Student Care Centres
Two Student Care Centres are established to look after the physical and psychological development of students during before and after school hours.
Provisions of Vegetarian meals
Vegetarian meals are provided every day for the consumption of the public, regardless of race, religion and nationality. Daily visitors numbered thousands dined at the Lodge, while five and six thousands diners gather together for meals on weekends.
